This dynamic course caters to students intrigued by the artistry and craftsmanship of pottery, particularly focusing on wheel throwing techniques ranging from beginner to intermediate levels.

Beginning with the essentials, novice students will delve into foundational techniques such as centering and shaping clay on the wheel. Through hands-on demonstrations and guided practice sessions, participants will gradually master these fundamental skills, gaining confidence in their ability to create symmetrical and well-balanced forms.

For those with some prior experience, the course presents a platform to further hone their craft and explore more intricate projects. Advanced students will be challenged with progressively complex tasks, such as lids, spouts, handles, and the development of matching sets. These advanced projects not only enhance technical proficiency but also encourage students to experiment with design and functionality, elevating their understanding of pottery as both an art form and a functional craft.

Throughout the course, emphasis will be placed on the significance of design in the creation of functional pots. Students will learn to integrate aesthetic principles with practical considerations, ensuring that their creations are not only visually appealing but also ergonomic and utilitarian.
